Cheater

Cheating in a relationship is one thing no one can forgive or forget. Once the trust is broken nothing can fix it. So what do you do when you realize that the person you were truly, madly, deeply in love with is having a gala time with other girls? Will you leave him? Will you forgive him and let him break your trust again? What exactly does Kiara do when she realizes that the love of her life is being shared?

‘I think he is kind of cheating on you!’ said Nikita while setting her hair. She was having an all-girls night out with her girlfriends to celebrate the long weekend off. Kiara jokingly asked, ‘What do you mean kind of? 500ml, 500gms or 50kgs of cheating?’ If you think my boyfriend is cheating on me then there is just a yes or no! There is no “kind-of”. Anyway, what makes you think so?’ Nikita was all set for this question and wanted to answer it for a long time now. “I had seen him getting cozy with another girl at a club where he would never expect to find you or your friends.  You remember Club Eagle that we all hate going to? I had been there with a few of my colleagues last Friday but I didn't have any evidence to prove it to you.” Kiara smiled at Nikita, cleared her throat and opened up to Nikita,” I know what he has been doing. He had made the biggest blunder by sending me a text that read – I am sorry for not spending a lot of time with you, the work pressure is too much but this Friday I will make it up to you. This weekend I am at your service. Love you too much.” “How does this text prove that he is cheating on you?” Nikita questioned. “We all had been to Goa for a week Niki! The worst part of this lie was he called me and explained that Vikram had sent this message to his girl and he send it on my number by mistake and at that moment I was out for shopping with mom and I had bumped into Vikram and his girl.” Kiara explained after gulping down the wine. “Now you will ask me why didn't I confront him and ask for an explanation. All I wanted was solid evidence to question him. I kept thinking that all this was wrong and Sid would never do so. I am in love with him and that’s all I know. I know my love is being shared but the fear of breaking down completely makes me back out.” Kiara stopped talking, she just smiled and managed to control her tears back.
Nikita had convinced Kiara to talk it out with Sid once she was drunk enough that night and she would be able to face him. The only problem was Kiara didn't want to get sloshed. While all of them were dancing, Kiara felt a back hug and turned around to slap the guy who was trying to get cozy. To her surprise, that guy turned out to be Sid. She burst out in tears and gave him a tight hug. Sid said, “Hey baby, why those tears? I was expecting a big smile.” He kissed her on her forehead. She used to love it the most. That kiss meant a lot to her and Sid knew that really well.

She pulled his hand and got him out of the club, she walked away from the club with him where she could talk to him.

“All I want you to do is listen to me. I don’t want any explanations no clarifications. I won’t ask you how and when? All I want to ask you is why? I love you and there is no second thought about it. I thought I was perfect for you and there was nothing that could go wrong. But you just broke the perfect girl, her dreams and her faith in love.” Kiara broke down in tears but gathered up the courage to speak again. “The biggest problem is that you lied to me on my face, looked me in the eyes. I already knew the truth, I was just here to see till when could you deceive me, till when would you sell stories to me and believe that I am buying them. I am not going to put the whole blame on you. I understand! I understand that things didn't work out between us, but the least you could do was hide it from me." Sid kept his head low with guilt. "But I love you" He said while still looking down. He looked like a kid who didn't want to share his toys. Kiara picked his head, gave him a tight hug and whispered in his ears, "That's because I am lovable" kicked him hard in his groin and walked away.  There was too much of love in Kiara and now all she could do was, give all that love to herself and if some were left, to someone who deserved it.

Here's to the Past

Here’s to the Past What do you do when you fall for the perfect guy? Date him? Marry him? What do you do when you fall for the not-so perfect guy? Give it a shot? Forget about him? What do you do when you fall for a Guy who according to you is perfect but not according to the traditions, religion, and both your families? Forget the world and date him (or marry him) OR Forget him and keep the traditions, religions and family happy? Well Kiara did the latter. She had the perfect guy for her but had to let go because her family, traditions and religion wasn’t happy. She felt happy in his arms, she was in love with his silence, she genuinely laughed at his wit, she dreamed of waking up next to him every morning, she loved him he loved her, she was happy so was he but the world wasn’t. It was the first day of college. A new step towards life. A little more freedom given by God to you for you to let go off everything and just enjoying life by taking a few decisions on your own. Long Distance

That night I actually didn’t sleep. I knew I had to talk to kabir about it. Ever since our relationship status had changed to a long distance relationship things had changed. Phone calls from every minute had changed to hardly talking for a minute, text messages had conversations filled with both of us replying to each other saying, “ Busy baby BRB”. I heard the crows crowing and the birds chirping at around 5:30. The cold December morning still made me get up from bed and grab a cigarette. Lighting the cigarette with the old pink lighter that was a gift from kabir I covered myself with my blanket. Taking the 1 st puff I went back to the memory lane at the time when kabir had called me in excitement, “hey baby!! Have a big surprise. Meet me for dinner tonight? Mainland china? 9? I’ll pick you up! This dinner is special. Love you baby cya!” After this call I had made up my mind that he was going to propose! I knew it all this while because he was talking a lot about marriage and our ...

Avenge

He furiously told her,“Let’s even the score. You hurt me a lot of times I have even lost count.” She thought it was true love and concrete friendship but all he wanted was to avenge the pain of his broken heart. For her friendship was, never having to say goodbye. For him? It did not matter, he had already said goodbye.  - Samanah. Rizvi
