She smiled at Nikita and said, 'I don't need a guy, it's ok if he doesn't like me!' A neon green colour t-shirt caught Nikita's eye and while searching for her size she replied back saying,' And it doesn't matter to you that you have been single since such a long time now? It's been what 2 years now since you and Mark broke up? And the fact that the relationship lasted only for 6 days?' Kiara just smiled at her and got busy looking around the shop for the new summer collection. Kiara adjusted her big soda glasses and picked up a floral long sleeveless dress, the ones that these tall models wear and pose on beautiful locations. She took a closer look and imagined herself in it. The imagination was perfect but she knew the reality would be the complete opposite. 'Don't just stand there and stare at it, go try it on!' Without much thinking she just walked into a trial room. After adjusting the dress Kiara stood there just staring at herself. She knew she was never the beautiful one. She knew that guys would find it really difficult to fall for her. She could be anyone's Robin from the sitcom "How I met your mother" but no guy would ever take it to the next level. Kiara kept her faith and hopes high. She knew the dress was not perfect for her, nor was it suiting her. She wasnt in proper shape, she was now low on self-confidence. It was very unbelievable for her, because Kiara knew that she had always been optimistic about herself and her life. She wanted to buy this dress, not because she looked gorgeous but she wanted something that would help her change and get her a makeover. 'Hello? Are you alive? Is the size perfect? Can you open the door? Kiara?' She could hear Nikita knock and scream standing on the other side of the door. 'How is it?' All Nikita could see was a girl with her hair tightly tied, adjusting her glasses ,smiling back at her. Nikita was always vocal and honest with her opinions. 'Nah! It isn't too good! You need to lose more weight and change yourself. Don't waste money let's go to some other shop. You change and meet me at the food court. Let's grab some food and then we'll continue.' Kiara locked the door and still kept looking at her reflection. She wanted to buy it because she always imagined herself all pretty and beautiful and being the centre of attraction. She walked out to notice Nikita standing outside the store busy talking on the phone. Kiara looked at her, then at the dress and then at the cash counter. Without much thinking she quickly raced up to the cash counter and paid in cash. 'Do you need a shopping bag? Extra 3 rupees charge!' Said the cashier. She hurriedly put the dress in her handbag and ran towards Nikita. 'I hope you didn't buy that dress, i really liked it and thought of buying it for myself but I will gift it to you when you lose weight and get a makeover.' The floral white dress was breathing through the little opening of the handbag. It was not just the dress that came alive, she did not just pay 2000 rupees for that dress. She paid for her dreams, she paid for her imagination to come true, she paid for some attention, she paid for a little more appreciation. She paid for a better and not a bitter life...
